Comic Con and Bee Girls!

Big News! For the last several months, Mickey Dubrow and I have been co-writing a novelization of the 1973 film INVASION OF THE BEE GIRLS for Encyclopocalypse Publishing! Earning a spot on Siskel and Ebert’s Guilty Pleasures list, the film stars William Smith, Victoria Vetri, and Anitra Ford and was Nicholas Meyer’s first credit as a screenwriter. The book will be out in 2027, more details on release date, pricing, and availability as soon as I have them.

ALSO - We’re doing a panel on CLASSIC MONSTERS MODERN ART at San Diego Comic Con on Saturday, July 25th! It should take place midday, check the schedule online or on the app when it’s released soon for specific time and room number. Here’s the description:

Classic Monsters, Modern Art. This new book from Insight Editions documents and reimagines the trajectory of Gothic horror through illustration—from film’s silent era to the turn of the millennium. Featuring contemporary work from more than 45 artists and a richly detailed chronicle from genre expert Anthony Taylor (The Art of George Wilson), foreword by Jonathan Maberry (Joe Ledger, Rot and Ruin) and Damian Fulton (featured illustrator). Moderated by Shannon Eric Denton (Graveslinger, Monster Forge Productions).

We’ll all be signing (the book or any other of our stuff you want to bring) for an hour after the panel in the Sails Pavilion. See you in San Diego!
